IZUMI

Composer, Pianist, Singer

 

Born on June 7, 1986

Born in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture

 

Influenced by her older sister and mother, IZUMI was exposed to music from an early age, and after attending Yamaha Music School, began to develop an interest in composing at the age of 10.

 

Graduated from Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music in 2009 with a degree in composition.

Studied composition and how to live with music under the late Akihiko Matsui.

While still a university student, he was involved in the overall management of a voluntary pops orchestra as well as composition and arrangement, gaining a great deal of experience.

In 2008, he won the Grand Prize at the 13th Breeze Competition for his composition "Toki no Kaze (Wind of Time and Space)".

 

Currently, as a composer, he is actively engaged in composing background music for animation and digital photo books, creating collaborative works with visual images, providing music for groups of performers and soloists, and arranging music.

He also works as a support pianist for artists such as Taiki Tajiri, a trumpeter who makes people smile, singer-songwriter Aoi Sano, trumpeter Megumi Nakajima, and the performance unit Yururira.

 

In 2011, she began her solo career, adding her own voice and words as tools of expression, and continues to take on new challenges with the motto of "music that reaches directly to the heart" and "music that accompanies the lives and livelihoods of those who listen to it.

 

In 2009, she released her self-produced album "Arigato (Thank you). Released in 2009.

2012: Released her 2nd album "Lanterns in the House".  

 

Her dynamic performance that cannot be imagined from her small stature and her warm voice attracts listeners of all ages and both sexes.

 

 

She is the personality of "IZUMI's 'The Moment Tomorrow is Born'" on Kazusa FM, a community FM station in the Boso area of Chiba Prefecture.

As a mother of two children, she writes about her daily life with music as she nurtures a new life for the next generation.

 

From January 11, 2023, IZUMI is currently working on a project to make sounds of the day by inspiration along with "Nippon no Iro," a daily calendar by Rekireki Seikatsu-san on YouTube.
